Mrs. Clara May Watson, of 1213 Third avenue, this city, died last evening at 7:05 o'clock from pneumonia, following an illness which was contracted last Thursday. Deceased was the victim of a series of afflictions within the last few months. Her husband, William Watson, died August 31, and on September 7 she fell and broke her hip. She recovered from this misfortune only to succumb to pneumonia. Mrs. Watson was born at Stonerstown, Bedford county, July 17, 1861. Surviving relatives are the following children: Mrs. William Kern, of Everett; William, Arthur and Maxwell, of Altoona, and Joseph, of Juniata; thirteen grandchildren and three sisters and two brothers - Misses Lizzie and Nannie Johnson, Altoona; Mrs. L. G. Smith, Harrisburg, and S. J. Johnson, South Lakemont, and Foster M. Johnson, of this city. She was a charter member of the Fifth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church. The funeral will be Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Fifth Avenue Methodist church, in charge of her pastor, Rev. S.S. Carnell, with interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
