WATSON Lewis Watson of Tyrone passed away Nov. 17, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nev. after suffering a severe stroke. He was 85. Born March 26, 1918 to Alice Spotts and Frank Watson of Unionville and spent most of his childhood in the Bald Eagle Valley area. He graduated in 1936 from Tyrone High School and later married Mary Brugger of Unionville and had two children: Gary Watson of Las Vegas, Nev. and a daughter, Donna Crownover of Ferndale, Md. Surviving are four grandchildren. He brifely worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad in Altoona and Tyrone with his brother Jack, before joining the army in World War II. He lived in Munich, Germany after the war as a military policeman. He retired from the Bellefonte Laborers local union No. 824 in the 1970s and lived at the Pennsylvania House in Tyrone for many years. His brothers, Jack Watson of Tyrone and Paul Watson of Carlisle preceded him in death, along with sisters Ruth Neugebauer and Blanche Hampton of Tyrone. He is survived by one sister, Alice Wilson of Tyrone. Lewis was a widower with many friends, and he will be missed. Funeral arrangements and cremation were handled by affordable cremation and burial of Las Vegas, Nev. Tyrone Daily Herald, December 26, 2003
