He was born October 9, 1849, at Wilmington, Del., and was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania railroad, having served for thirty-five years as a boiler maker. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Clara Mae Johnson, one daughter, Mrs. William Kern, of Everett; and four sons: William, Arthur, and Maxwell, of Altoona, and Joseph of Juniata. Mr. Watson was a member of the Boiler Shop Floral association and the P.R.R. Veteran association. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, a niece, Mrs. Lewis Hattan, of Florida, and a nephew, John Maxwell, of Wilmington, Del. The funeral will be held at the home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, services to be conducted by Rev. S.S. Carnell, pastor of the Fifth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be made in Rosehill cemetery.
