Harry Wayne, the well known business man and prominent Grand Army of the Republic member, died yesterday at 10.30 o'clock at the home of his brother-in-law, Dr. J. C. Wakefield, Vinco, Cambria county. Some two or three months ago Mr. Wayne left Altoona, suffering with nervous prostration. Since then his condition had gradually grown worse. His wife was with him during his illness and death. She is a daughter of the late Squire W. W. Harris, of Vinco. Mr. Wayne served with gallantry in the civil war. At the beginning of the war he enlisted with his father in the Seventy-sixth regiment Pennsylvania volunteers. Being too young to serve in any other capacity he offered his services as a drummer boy in the company of which his father was captain. At his death he was aged about 53 years. He was a member of Post 468 Grand Army of the Republic, of the Masonic fraternity, of the Union Veteran Legion and of the Sons of Veterans. The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, Mullen and Anthony, of this city, and one daughter, Mrs. Austin W. Rock, of Cleveland, Ohio. The burial of Mr. Wayne will take place on Wednesday at an hour yet to be fixed. The funeral services will be held at Wesley chapel, near Vinco, and interment will be made in the cemetery near by.
