He was born in Centre county on Aug. 10, 1880, a son of Alfred and Angeline Weaver, and was employed as a carpenter in the Altoona works planing mill. Mr. Weaver was the organizer and oldest charter member of camp No. 889, P.O.S. of A., Centre Hall. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Eve (Harman) Weaver, eight sons and daughters, Mrs. William E. Bowser of the city, Mary, Alverta, James, Lester, Irene, Pearl and Florence Louise, all at home, and six brothers and sisters, Mrs. S. E. Shearer, Mrs. Rome Gongeric, Grover and Orvis Weaver, all of Centre Hall, Mrs. Edward Laird of Pleasant gap and Mrs. Sarah Moyer of Lewistown. Mr. Weaver attended the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church. The body may be viewed at the home after 7 o'clock this evening. Altoona Mirror, August 3, 1937
