We refer to the death of Daniel Webber, of Capt. Huff's company, 184th Regt. P. V., who was wounded in the right arm in one of battles before Richmond. After being taken to a field hospital near Washington he was attacked with chronic diarrhea, and not succeeding in getting it checked in the first stages, he was soon confined to his bed. It was then deemed best, by his friends, to bring him home, and he was brought up on Saturday week. But the disease had done its work and at noon on Monday last, he slept the sleep that knows no waking. The deceased was about 21 years of age. He left us but four shorts months since in the bloom of health, now he is numbered with the dead. - He was esteemed for his social qualities and will be long remembered by his associates.
