He was born in Hamburg, Germany, but had been in this country fifty years. He completed his seventieth year on the day of his death. He followed the occupation of a farmer in Cambria county and Frankstown township until five years ago, when he took up his residence in Hollidaysburg. He leaves a wife and ten children, viz: Mrs. Kate Link of Carrolltown, Mrs. Shilling of Gallitzin, Mrs. John Madden, Mrs. Joseph Hart, Mrs. Robinson, Peter, John and Thomas, all of Hollidaysburg, and Joseph and Michael, of Carrolltown. The deceased was a member of St. John's Catholic church, where services will be held tomorrow morning. Interment in Hollidaysburg Catholic cemetery.
