He had been ill a short time. Mr. Weigand was a native of Germany and was born on Nov. 14, 1855. He had lived in this country for sixty-five years. He retired from the East Altoona shops on Nov. 1, 1926. Mr. Weigand was a member of St. Mary's church and the Knights of St. George. His wife, Dorothy Gluck Weigand died ten years ago. Surviving are five children, Henry in Virginia, Mrs. Louis Karl of Pittsburgh, Mrs. John Schreiner, Mrs. Edgar Prough and Mrs. Clement Oswald, all of Altoona, also sixteen grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
