Mrs. Mary Weight, wife of George Weight, died suddenly at her home at Ironsville Tuesday afternoon. Shortly after having eaten a hearty Christmas dinner she was seized by a stroke of paralysis and without rallying from the severe attack, she passed away about four o'clock. The sad even cast a gloom over the household where so soon before the brightness of Christmas day was present to give good cheer. Mrs. Weight, whose maiden name was Mary Woomer, was born at Bald Eagle, September 9, 1839, her age at death 65 years, 3 months and 16 days. In her early life she became a resident of Ironsville where had been her home the past thirty-eight years. She was united in marriage August 19, 1858, to George Weight, who survives her, together with the following children: Thomas, Harry, Grant, Charles, Adessa, Calvin and Walter, of Ironsville; Mrs. Viola Gillmen, of Tyrone; and Mrs. Catherine Mingle, of Birmingham. Also surviving are the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Annie Meadville and Mrs. Ellen Lamson, of Nebraska; Mrs. Sarah Steiner, of Gallitzin; Mrs. Margaret Foreman, of Ironsville; John and Henry Woomer of Saxton. Funeral services will be conducted at the late home of the deceased at 10 o'clock Friday morning. Interment in Tyrone cemetery. Tyrone Herald, Tyrone, Pa., December 27, 1894
