He was born on March 5, 1866, in Frankstown, a son of William and Sarah (Kitchen) Weight, and was united in marriage with Miss Mary E. Lloyd, who died on May 21, of this year. Surviving are one daughter and three sons, Sherman M., Mrs. Ruth Anna Berry, William Lloyd and Howard King Weight, all of the city; three sisters and three brothers, John C. and William Weight of the city, David of Oswego, N.Y., Mrs. Rachel Albright, Mrs. Irene English and Mrs. Thelma Rhule, all of the city, and five grandchildren. Mr. Weight retired from the service of the Pennsylvania Railroad company on Aug. 1 of this year, having been employed as a hostler at East Altoona for a period of forty-two years and eight months. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist church, where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Hollidaysburg.
