Treese, at Roaring Spring, R.D., after several years' illness. He was born in Bedford county June 12, 1866, a son of Samuel and Susannah (Smith) Wertman, and never married. He is survived only by several nephews and nieces. Mr. Wertman was a member of Christ Evangelical and Reformed church of Roaring Spring, the Jr. O.U.A.M. and the I.O.O.F. and retired from the railroad in 1937 after 33 years' service. Friends will be received at the Hite Brothers funeral home, Roaring Spring, after noon Thursday. WERTMAN - Funeral services for Samuel Smith Wertman of Roaring Spring, R.D., will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hite Brothers funeral home in Roaring Spring in charge of Rev. Ralph H.
