He was born in Frankstown township on May 28, 18**, and was a son of William and Catherine Wertz, deceased. He was a laborer. He was a member of the Mennonite church. He was unmarried and is survived by these brothers and sisters: Jacob A., Guy and John A., of Frankstown township; William B, of Bellwood; Luther of Juniata; Andre of Mt. Union; Mrs. Harriet Webber of East Altoona and Mrs. Geneva Wolf at Mt. Union. The funeral services will be held at the Methodist church of Frankstown on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Geeseytown cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday, October 18, 1915 Additional Comments: Year of birth was unreadable on Abraham's obituary. Since he was listed as being four years old in the 1860 United States Census, a good assumption is that he was born in 1856.
