He was born July 5, 1910, at Warriors Mark, the son of Zane G. and Laura B. McCormick Wertz. On Sept. 30, 1928, he was married to Muriel Smith. He had resided in Tyrone, and moved to Connecticut in 1931. Surviving are the widow, a son, Albert Z., at home; three sisters: Mrs. Edward Neil and Mrs. Daniel Frye, Tyrone; and Mrs. A. Roller Fleck, Sinking Valley. He was a member of the Jenny Lee Methodist Church, Easton, Conn., and of the Easton Fire Co., the Civil Defense, and the Auxiliary State Police. He was a general foreman at the Sikorsky Aircraft Co., Inc., Stratford. Conn. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at the Graham & Getz Funeral Home at 1 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Raymond F. Weider. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Sinking Valley. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., January 7, 1963, page 3
