MRS. CATHERINE WERTZ,

Widow of the late William Wertz, died Tuesday last at her home in
Upper Loop, Frankstown township, of a complication of diseases. The
deceased was aged 74 years. Interment was made today in the Geeseytown
cemetery.

MRS. CATHARINE MOUNTAIN WERTZ,

Brief mention of whose death at East Loop on Tuesday was made in the
Mirror Thursday, was born August 15, 1836.  She was the widow of
William Wertz and to this union were born fourteen children, seven
sons and four daughters. A host of relatives and friends mourn with
them. She was a good mother and was much loved by her family. The
funeral services were conducted by the Rev. H. M. Metzger of
Greensburg, Pa., at the Loop church. Interment at Geeseytown cemetery.

Catherine was the daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Kantner) Mountain.
The count of children is obviously off in the article, but was typed
as it appeared in the obituary.
