WERTZ, A native and former resident of Hollidaysburg and formerly employed in the shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad company in this city, died in the Braddock hospital Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, death being caused by a complication of diseases, aged 53 years. He was born in East Hollidaysburg, the son of Jacob and Mrs. Mary Wertz, both now deceased. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad company, but left Blair county twenty-four years ago, locating in East Pittsburgh. He is survived by these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Laura Stahl of Altoona; Mrs. T. S. Stoner, Llyswen; Mrs. V. F. Laufer, Lakemont; Mrs. James Elliott, Linden Hall; Mrs. F. P. Miller and Mrs. F. A. Keller of Duncansville; J. W. and B. A. Wertz, Duncansville; John, Altoona; C. D., Eldorado, and M. W., East Hollidaysburg. The body will be brought to the home of his brother, M. W. Wertz, in Hollidaysburg today following which arrangements will be made for the funeral.
