MRS. LAURA BELLE WERTZ

Wife of Zane Gray Wertz, died at her home, 1357 Bald Eagle avenue, Tyrone, 
Thursday night at (?) o'clock, death being attributed to a heart ailment with 
which she was afflicted for the past four months.  She was born in Sinking 
valley on July 28, 1870, the daughter of William and Margaret (Templeton) 
McCormick, and was united in marriage with Mr. Wertz in Altoona on May 16, 
1893.  She had been a resident of Tyrone for ten years, where she was a member 
of the First Presbyterian church.  Surviving are the husband and seven 
children, William Z. and Albert L., of Fairfield, Conn., Emory Wertz and Mrs. 
Roller Fleck of Sinking valley, David E. and Mrs. E. R. Neil, jr., and Mrs. 
Daniel Frye, all of Tyrone, and ten grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary 
McGovern of Tyrone.  Funeral services will be conducted at the home Sunday 
afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in charge of her pastor, Rev. Dr. Joseph A. Speer.  
Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery in Sinking Valley.
