  Luther Wertz, of the Loop, several miles above Hollidaysburg, who it 
is stated at times for many years was partially insane, drank a 
quantity of embalming fluid, at Johnstown on Friday last, supposing it 
to be whiskey.  The mistake resulted in the unfortunate man's death and 
his remains were taken to his home and buried on Saturday.  He leaves a 
wife and two children.

Martin was the son of Jacob and Ruth (Baird) Wertz. He was married to 
Elizabeth Ullery.
