THEODORE WERTZ

  Theodore Wertz, 95, 410 Willow Ave., died Wednesday evening, April 
28, 1999, at Altoona Hospital, following a brief illness.
  He was born March 18, 1904, the son of the late Martin and Jennie 
(Fonner) Wertz. He married Elva P. Shaw May 5, 1928, in Bedford. She 
died Dec. 19, 1994.
  Mr. Wertz retired as a foreman from Peoples Natural Gas Co. in 1964, 
after 40 years of service.
  Surviving are three daughters: Jennie, Martha J. Johnston and Donna 
Seedenburg, all of Altoona; a son, Donald of Warren; 10 grandchildren, 
17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
  He was preceded in death by two sons: Teddy W. and Bud.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Daniel 
R. Myers Funeral Home.

WERTZ - Funeral services for Theodore Wertz of 410 Willow Ave. will be 
held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home by Pastor John 
D. Leatherman, with interment at Dry Run Cemetery, Duncansville. He 
also is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be 
received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
