WESTBROOK, an aged and respected resident of Altoona died at his home Sunday morning of liver trouble, from which he suffered about eleven years. He was born in Huntingdon Dec. 7, 1845, and went to Altoona 35 years ago. For some time after locating in Altoona he was in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company. Leaving the service of the company he engaged in the wholesale and retail ice cream business, which he conducted for 22 years. His military services during the civil war were with Co. C, 46th Pa. Malitia [sic], Co. E, 195 Vol. Infantry and Co. F, 19th Cavalry. In 1868 he was married to Miss Maria E. Grumbiling of Indiana county. Surviving him are his wife and two sons and one daughter: Newton S., Homer E., and Miss Mary Corinne all at home and the following brothers and sister: R. S. of Altoona, J. L., Charles and Thomas A., of Huntingdon, Mrs. James W-md--mall of Philadelphia and Mrs. Andrew Gamble of this city. Interment was made yesterday afternoon.
