Westfall, of 1608 Twelfth street, a brother of City Commissioner W. C. Westfall, died at Altoona hospital at 1:40 o'clock this morning, of kidney trouble. He was admitted to the institution on Monday. His wife survives with several children. Mr. Westfall was aged 50 years and was employed as a salesman at the Westfall & Co. clothing store. Westfall, whose death was noted in the Tribune yesterday, was born May 21, 1867, at New Florence, Pa., and was the son of James E. and Susan S. Westfall, both deceased. He came to this city in 1872 and was educated here. Immediately after leaving school, he entered the clothing store of his brother, W. C. Westfall, as clerk and remained in that capacity until his death. He was formerly a city councilman, serving in common branch, 1905-1907. He was a member of Logan lodge, No. 490, F. & A.M.; Mountain Chapter, No. 189, R.A.M., Mountain Commandery, No. 10, K.R.; Jaffa temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. and White Cross lodge, No. 354, K. of P. He was a member of Christ Reformed church. Mr. Westfall was twice wedded, his first bride, Miss Allie Replogle, died a number of years ago. They were wedded in 1895. A son, William W., and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth by the first union, both at home, survive, with his second wife, nee Miss Allie Klepser, and another daughter, Martha Louise, and these brothers and sisters: William C., A. Walter, and Mrs. Atlee Peters, Altoona; Mrs. H. I. McMinn, Jersey City, and Mrs. F. White, Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1608 Twelfth street, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. O. S. Frantz, Christ Reformed church, assisted by Rev. H. H. Stiles, D.D., Second Presbyterian church. The Logan lodge of Masons will have charge of the funeral. Burial in Fairview cemetery. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, May 9, 1918, page 10
