He was a machinist in the passenger car shops of the Altoona works. He was born at Huntingdon Furnace on Jan. 27, 1887, the son of John and Catherine Harris Weyer. Surviving are his wife, Caroline (Graffius) Weyer, and these children: Richard G., Robert K., Donald M. and Alvin L., of Altoona; Josephine L., at home, Roy F., of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Miller and Mrs. Esther Mattern of Tyrone, and three brothers, Harry W. Weyer of Tyrone and Jessie and Clair Weyer, both of Spruce Creek. Mr. Weyer was a member of the Second Presbyterian church. Friends are being received at the Laughlin funeral home. WEYER - Funeral services for Walter Scott Weyer of 101 East Second avenue will be held at the Laughlin funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Dr. Walter L. Ritter.
