WHARTON Of 2051 Fifth street, a car repairman at East Altoona, died at his home at 6 o'clock this morning after one week's illness. He was born in St. Augustine, Cambria county, on July 4, 1876, a son of Arthur and Mary (Sweeney) Wharton. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Julia (Delozier) Wharton, one son, Attorney Terence Wharton of the city, two brothers and one sister, George Wharton of Chest Springs, Frank of Ebensburg and Mrs. Catherine Stoltz of Ashville. Mr. Wharton was a member of St. Theresa Catholic church and the Knights of St. George. The body may be viewed at his home.
