Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, PA, November 16, 2005 Betty J. White Mrs. Betty J. White, age 86, formerly of the Pennsylvania House, Tyrone, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 11:15 p.m. at Beverly Hillview Health Center, Altoona. She was born January 26, 1919 in Tyrone, the daughter of David Foster and Edith Houser Hagen. On December 8, 1937 she was married to Carl H. White who preceded her in death December 22, 1976. She is survived by six children: Pamela, wife of Bob Dick, Tyrone; Jack and wife Carole of Newport News, VA; Franklin and wife Nancy of Tyrone; Carl and wife Sharlene of Tyrone; Judy, wife of Tim O'Rourke of Quantico, MD and David and wife Judi of Yorktown, VA. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, a sister, Gertrude Burns of Bellmeade Manor and a brother Ronald Hagen of Roseville, CA. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and of the Semper Fidelis Sunday School Class. She had been employed as a nurses aide at Tyrone Hospital, retiring in 1975. She enjoyed her family and loved reunions and family outings. Funeral service for Betty J. White will be Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor Andrew T. Bradley officiating. Interment will be in Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
