WHITE, A well-known resident of this city, died at his home, 1122 Nineteenth avenue, at 2 o'clock this morning, after an illness of several months. He was 48 years old. His wife and six children, all living at home, survive to mourn their loss. The deceased was employed before his last illness in the glue room of the railroad company's shops, under Foreman Burley, and was very popular among his fellow workmen. He was also a prominent member of the Knights of the Golden Eagle, having been a member of Elmo castle. The deceased had suffered with liver trouble since August. He was born in Lancaster county, April 1, 1849. He was a member of the Second Lutheran church. The surviving children's names are : Enos W., Chester, Alice, Edwin, Alfred and Edith. One brother, Edwin F., and his aged mother, both of Hollidaysburg, also survive. The funeral services will be held at the home at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon; interment in Fairview cemetery.
