He was born July 18, 1874, in Perry county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Whitekettle. He was married in Richmond, Va., in 1941 to Bertha Hite. He retired from the railroad Aug. 1, 1939, after 37 1/2 years of service. Surviving are his wife, four nieces and two nephews in Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Mr. Whitekettle was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Juniata, and Maccabees of Altoona. Friends will be received in the Saleme funeral home after 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. WHITEKETTLE - Funeral services for Frank Whitekettle of 409 Seventh avenue, Juniata, will be held at the Saleme funeral home Thursday evening at 7.30 o'clock in charge of Rev. Ralph W. Birk assisted by Rev. M. S. Bitner. The cortege will leave the Saleme funeral home Friday morning at 9 o'clock for Alinda where further services will be held at 2 o'clock at the Mount Zion Lutheran church, Alinda.
