MRS. MARGARET WHITING

Of 2020 Sixth avenue, widow of George Whiting, died at 6.15 o'clock this 
morning at the Altoona hospital after having been ill for the past year.  
She was born in Altoona on April 26, 1875, a daughter of John and Amanda 
Love.  Mrs. Whiting was a prominent member of the Bethel A.M.E. church, 
having served on the senior stewardess board and holding membership in the 
Missionary society.  She had served for eight years as stewardess of the 
former Altoona Cricket club.  Surviving are one daughter, Helen; one 
grandson, one brother, John Love of Pittsburgh, and a niece, Mrs. Mary Mann 
of New Castle.  Friends will be received at the home after 7 o'clock this 
evening.

WHITING - Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Whiting of 2020 Sixth avenue, 
will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. 
G. A. Bryant. Interment in Eastern Light cemetery.  Friends are being 
received at the home.
