The deceased was born in Lancaster county on June 24, 1817. He is survived by his wife, Melinda, and five daughters, viz: Mrs. Hugh Burford of Pittsburg; Mrs. William Bollinger of Altoona; Mrs. James Foster of Pittsburg, and Misses Margaret and Jennie, at home. His two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Strattan and Mrs. Isaac Clover, reside at Strattanville, Clarion county, Pa., and a brother, George Whren, in Kingsville, O. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., October 27, 1893
