"Bob" Wigman, 66, of RR # 1, Box 579 Mosser Road, Altoona went to be with his Lord at 9:40 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh after an extended illness. He was born in Washington, PA on Friday, July 30, 1937 and was the son of the late Robert R and Thelma (Dodds) Wigman. He retired in 1989 as sales manager at McCartney's Office Supplies, Altoona. He was the husband of Mary Jo (Allen) Wigman. They were married at North Street Church of Christ in Butler on Aug. 11, 1962. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Altoona. Mr. Wigman graduated from Grove City High School in 1955 and attended Grove City College for two years. He was a member of the Bavarian Aide Society, Unter Uns, St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood, Logan Lodge #490 Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite, Valley of Altoona, Jaffa Shrine Band, 46th Pennsylvania Regiment Band and Speaker for CORE. He was also one of the founding members of TRIO, AARP and was a road runner for the Shrine Hospital System. Mr. Wigman was also a past member of the Altoona Jaycees and a past member of the Antis Township supervisors and the Northern Blair Sewer Authority. Mr. Wigman also enjoyed his grandchildren, reading and playing his tuba for numerous local bands. He was served in the United States Army. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four sons and one daughter: Robert A. Wigman, Roaring Spring; Richard A. Wigman, Bellwood; Rodger A. Wigman, Altoona; Michael A. Wigman, Conestoga and Marilynn J. Kristofits, Lanse. He is also survived by two sisters: Barbara Mohney, Sandy Lake and Mary Margaret Lockley, Alamance, NC. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. and a Masonic Service immediately following at First Church of Christ, Juniata Gap and Good Shepard Roads on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004 with the Rev. Ray Beard officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the First Church of Christ.
