He had been ill but twenty-four hours. On Saturday night, while about to retire, he was ascending the stairway to the second floor and had nearly reached the top, when he had an attack of paralysis. He fell backward down the stairway to the platform. The injuries sustained rendered him unconscious, in which state he remained until he died. Mr. Williams came to this city from Newville, Cumberland county. He was aged 70 years, 7 months and 13 days. He is survived by his wife and four children: Mrs. W. B. Over, of Newville, Cumberland county; Miss Laura E., Charles H., and Mrs. D. C. Kepler, of this city. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday Evening, April 24, 1893 LOCAL ITEMS IN BRIEF.
