Willson, 64, of 502 Martin Street, Bellwood died early Friday morning, December 10, 2004 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 8, 1940 in Bellwood, a daughter of the late Wesley Kahl and Verna M. (Holes) Hescox. She married Kent R. Willson on June 6, 1959 at the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Bellwood. Mrs. Willson is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years; beloved daughters: Kimber W. Kerns and her husband Carl of Bellwood and Kelly W. Varsho and her husband David of Altoona; grandchildren: Spencer and Alicia Varsho and Cory, Cole and Kenna Willson-Kerns; sisters: Delores Irvin and husband Joe of Bellwood and Diane Daniels and husband Robert of Starkville, MS. She retired in 1994 as traffic manager at WTAJ Television, Altoona, with 37 years service. She was the first Christmas Carol for WFBG Broadcasting. Mrs. Willson was the owner and founder of B-Unique Resale Boutique in Bellwood. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood and also attended the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellwood. Mrs. Willson was a 1957 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She was a member of the Business Professional Women, Bellwood, and Order of The Eastern Star, Tyrone Chapter. She was a general contributor to the Parkinsons Foundation. Mrs. Willson served two terms on the Bellwood Borough Council. She enjoyed garage sales, auctions, yard sales and shopping and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Alexy and Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
