Wilson, 83, of Tyrone RD2 died Sunday afternoon, April 9, 2006 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona. He was born on March 8, 1923 in Grazierville, a son of the late John and Anna (McGill) Wilson. He married Betty J. Montgomery on August 25, 1945 in Antis Township. She died April 3, 2006. Mr. Wilson is survived by three sons: William E. of Jefferson, James R., Jr. of Flinton and Robert L. of Tyrone RD2; two daughters: Karen E. Wilson of Bellwood and Beverly A. Wilson of North Bend, OR; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two sisters: Martha Stouffer of Bellmeade and Anna Eaken of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by brothers: Frank, John, William and Robert and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Wilson. Mr. Wilson retired as a maintenance technician at Westvaco, Tyrone. He was an Army Air Corps veteran serving as a tail gunner aboard a B- 52 during World War II in the European Theater. He enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, camping and going to flea markets and yard sales. Mr. Wilson, along with three other friends, started the "Grazierville Gang". Mr. Wilson loved his family, grandchildren and all children. He especially liked his Sunday rides with Bob and Woody. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. time of funeral service on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Pastor Kenneth Beichler officiating.
