WILSON Retired car inspector of the Middle division, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Frank B. Shull, 320 Twenty-second avenue, at 7 o'clock last evening. He was born at Ickesburg, Perry county, on Oct. 10, 1856, a son of Abraham and Jane (Jacob) Wilson. On Nov. 17, 1893, he entered the service of the railroad company in the car shops, being transferred to the Middle division on Oct. 10, 1917. He retired on Feb. 1, 1924. Surviving are one daughter and one son, Mrs. Frank B. Shull of the city and Charles B. Wilson of East Waterford, and one sister, Mrs. Alice Cooper of Juniata. His wife, Mrs. Margaret (Kleffman) Wilson, preceded him in death. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Ickesburg Methodist church. The remains can be viewed after noon Thursday. WILSON - Funeral services for John W. Wilson of 320 Twenty-second avenue, will be conducted by Rev. John F. Stamm of the Fairview Methodist church. Services will be held Thursday at 7.30 at the home. The body will be taken to Millerstown at 8.30 Friday morning for burial in the Grandview cemetery. The remains can be viewed at the home after noon, Thursday. Altoona Mirror, April 14, 1937
