REBECCA WILT, Widow of the late Henry Wilt, brief notice of whose death yesterday morning at 11.20 at her home in Duncansville appeared in yesterday's Altoona Mirror, died of a heart attack within a few minutes after she was stricken and before medical attention could be secured, being pronounced dead upon the arrival of a physician. Although ill during the past number of months of a complication of diseases, Mrs. Wilt was not bedfast. Yesterday morning a few minutes before her brief fatal illness she was about her home and spent some time weeding in the garden during the morning. She was upstairs for a few minutes prior to the attack but returned stating she felt better being about than lying down. She soon complained of a nervous attack, to which she was subject, which, it developed was a heart attack and she passed away within a few minutes. She was one of the oldest residents of Duncansville, being in her 81st year, and one of the town's best known residents. She was born in Freedom township, Blair county, on June 28, 1844, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Smith, being long deceased. She resided in this section all her life, moving to Duncansville many years ago. On June 22, 1861, she was united in marriage to Henry Wilt, who preceded her to the grave six years ago, passing away May 31, 1918. To this union were born ten children, three of whom survive, Mrs. Bertha Trexler of Altoona and Mrs. Elsie Jarrett and Aden Brook Wilt, both of Duncansville. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister, William Smith and Frank Smith, both of East Freedom, and Miss Mary Smith, who resides near Newry. Eighteen grandchildren and two great- grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Wilt was a devoted Christian woman and a regular church attendant and worker while physically able. She was a member of the Pine Grove United Brethren church at Puzzletown. She was an attendant at the Hicks Memorial Methodist church at Duncansville. The funeral will be held Monday morning with services at the Hicks Memorial Methodist church at 10 o'clock. Revs. H. P. Light, pastor of the Pine Grove church, and F. W. Biddle of the Methodist church will officiate. Following the services, the cortege will move to the Pine Grove cemetery at Puzzletown, where interment will be made.
