Wilt passed into the eternal world after suffering since February with meningitis poisoning. It will be remembered that Mr. Wilt was bit on the head some time ago by an angry Mexican while at work in the Pennsylvania railroad machine shops. The Mexican made his escape and the last heard of him, he was in Texas. Ever since that time, Mr. Wilt has been more or less a sufferer from the blow. Samuel Joseph Wilt was a son of Peter, deceased, and Mrs. Blanche Wilt. His entire life was spent in our midst, having been born in Tyrone, September 28, 1890. He was a machinist by trade and was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends who regretted to hear of his passing away. He was also a devoted member of the Columbia avenue Methodist Episcopal church, and a member of the Pennsylvania Railroad Shopmen's Union and the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief Association. On January 10, 1912, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Mabel Virginia Gibson, who survives with the following children to mourn a loving husband and father's death: Gertrude Isabelle, William Arthur, and Harriet Allison. He is also survived by his mother and these brothers and sister: William A.; James Franklin, George C., and Mrs. Mabel Dean, all of Tyrone. Funeral services will be held at the home on Burley avenue on Friday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. John Beard. Interment in Grandview cemetery.
