ELIZABETH WINELAND Mrs. Elizabeth Wineland, wife of David L. Wineland, died on Tuesday evening, at 9 o'clock at the family home at Wineland's mill near McKee, death following a stroke of paralysis with which she was stricken one week previous. Mrs. Wineland had been in ill health for some time. She was the daughter of Henry and Esther Seedenberg, and was born at Fredericksburg, Feb. 19, 1852. She was united in marriage on Aug. 13, 1872, with David L. Wineland, a resident of Morrison's Cove, and one of Blair and Bedford counties' foremost millers. They resided at various places until some years ago when they purchased the mill near McKee, where they have since resided. She is survived by her husband, and one brother, C. B. Seedenberg, of Altoona, and Mrs. Susan Kensinger, of the Morrison's Cove Home. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. wineland, three of whom, Harry, Mrs. Ida Delozier and Elizabeth, preceded her to the grave. The six surviving are: William S., of McKee; David S., of New Kensington; Allen P., of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Anna Curfman, of Wilkinsburg; Mrs. Mary Wertman, of McKee, and Mrs. Sophia Wertman, of Altoona. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren and for many years was affiliated with the Leamersville congregation, of that denomination. The funeral will be conducted at the Leamersville church this Friday afternoon. Interment will be made in the Riverview cemetery. Martinsburg Herald, July 7, 1922
