Altoona Mirror, August 7, 1996
  Mrs. Violet P. Wininger, 87, Reno, Nev., for the past five years, formerly 
of Altoona, died Monday, July 15, 1996, at Life Care Center, Reno. 
  She was born May 29, 1909, in Altoona, the daughter of John and Olive 
(Kirlin) Dore.
  Mrs. Wininger was a licensed practical nurse and retired from the Columbus 
Home for the Aged, Colombus, Ohio, in 1981.
  Surviving are a daughter, Nancy L. June of Reno; a sister, Ethel Mallory of 
Altoona; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
  Inurnment will be made in Altoona. Arrangements by Ross, Burke & Knobel 
Mortuary, Reno.
