Mrs. Catherine Winters died at her home at South Lakemont, Friday evening. She was born May 10, 1842, and was a lifelong member of the Brethren church. The following children survive: Harry F., George, Calvin and Mrs. W. Dutrow, all of South Lakemont; Mrs. D. M. Lundberg, of Altoona; Ms. J. W. Bowger [Bowser], of Dunbar; Mrs. W. E. Barret, of Llyswen; also by the following brothers and sisters: Alvin Frederick, Samuel Frederick, John Frederick and Henry Frederick, all of Morrison's Cove; David Frederick, of Sinking valley; Mrs. Sophia Carson, of Altoona, and Mrs. Anna Showalter, of Williamsburg. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Nonemaker, pastor of the Church of God at Lakemont. The body will be taken on the 8:45 train Monday morning to Curry station, where the services will be held and interment made. Altoona Tribune, Saturday morning, August 24, 1918, page 10
