Wintz died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence of his father, John Wintz of 614 Fourth avenue. Death was caused by consumption, with which disease he had been afflicted for more than a year past. Through his long illness he bore his sufferings with patient resignation and when the final summons came he was fully prepared to answer them, the last rites of the Catholic church having been administered to him before his death. He was a young man of sterling worth and before his illness had been employed in the shops, where he was respected by all with whom his duties brought him in contact. He was a member of the Logan hose company, which organization will attend his funeral in a body. His age was 20 years, 2 months and 8 days. Besides his father, two sisters - Mrs. John Vogt and Miss Emma Wintz - survive. The funeral will leave the parents' residence at 8.30 o'clock to-morrow morning, to proceed to St. Mary's church, where services will be held. Interment in St. John's cemetery.
