The painful, though not entirely unexpected intelligence of the death of Miss Maggie S. Wishart was received here on Sunday evening. Miss Maddie was a daughter of the late Dr. Alexander Wishart, and was well known and dearly beloved by a large circle of friends. Some time since, at the death of her sister, Mrs. Eichelberger of Saxton, Bedford county, Miss Wishart took charge of her orphaned nephew and removed thither from her home in this place. While in discharge of her duty she was nine weeks ago stricken with the typhoid fever, which resulted in her death as above stated. Miss Wishart possessed a disposition of rare sweetness and her early demise will be mourned by many hearts. Early in life she professed religion and connected herself with the Methodist Episcopal Church, of which denomination she has ever been a consistent member. Her remains were brought to this place yesterday evening, and the funeral will occur today at 11 A.M., from her late home, the residence of H. C. Nicodemus, Esq.
