"Frank" Wissinger, 81 of Los Angeles, formerly of Altoona died late Thursday evening, Oct 31, 1996, at Altoona Hospital. He was born March 12, 1915, in Altoona, the son of Clarence A. and Laura E. (Lord) Wissinger. Mr. Wissinger was a member of the Norwalk Seventh- Day Adventist Church, Norwalk, Calif. He retired as an office file clerk and was employed as an aide in the pediatrics ward of the White Memorial Hospital, Los Angeles, following his retirement. Mr. Wissinger was a graduate of Altoona High School and the Altoona School of Commerce. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are a brother, Ernest E. of Altoona; and a sister, Janet M Worley of Louisville, Ky. Arrangements by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Broad Avenue. WISSINGER - Services for Francis H. "Frank" Wissinger, formerly of Altoona, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Alto-Reste Chapel by Pastor Scott Custead. Interment at Alto-Reste Park. Arrangements by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., 2309 Broad Ave. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Blair County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
