Mrs. Pauline Witherow, Former Altoonan, Dies

(Special to Altoona Mirror)  
  PITTSBURGH, Aug. 13. - Mrs. Pauline (Stier) Witherow, widow of Kenneth C. 
Witherow, both of whom were natives of Altoona, died at 1.46 o'clock yesterday 
morning at her home at 5756 Kentucky avenue.
  Mrs. Witherow was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Stier of 
Altoona.  Surviving are one son, Kenneth C. Witherow, jr.; two brothers, Fred R. 
and Joseph P. Stier, both of Altoona, and a sister, Mrs. James S. Bell of 
Pittsburgh.
  Her husband died in May, 1946. The family moved from Altoona nearly 30 years 
ago.
  Friends are being received at the Samson funeral home here.
