Witman, of 918 Green avenue, died at twenty minutes after 3 o'clock yesterday morning, after an illness of over a year's duration, of consumption. He was a son of James Witman, of Reading, and came to this city about eight years ago, since which time he had been employed in the tin shop, under C. N. Pimlott. Four years ago he was married, and his wife and two small children survive. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief Fund, of White Cross division, Uniform Rank, Knights of Pythias, and of White Cross lodge. The funeral will take place to-morrow afternoon. Services will be conducted at the house by Rev. J. F. Hartman, at 2 o'clock. Interment in Fairview cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Monday, January 26, 1891 Local Brevities. The funeral of George Witman took place from his late residence, 918 Green avenue, yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. J. F. Hartman, who spoke both at the house and the cemetery. At the latter place the burial service of the Uniformed Rank, Knights of Pythias, was used.
