WITMER

  James R. Witmer a former resident of this city, died at Philadelphia, 
yesterday morning at 6 o'clock, being a victim of influenza.  The 
remains were brought to Altoona and taken to the home of his father, 
306 Fifth avenue.  He is survived by a wife and child who are now at 
the Fifth avenue home.  Mr. Witmer recently has been in Canada but 
about a week ago went to Philadelphia to secure employment.  He was 
aged about 26.
