He was born in Germany on Jan. 16, 1863, and came as a boy with his parents to Altoona. He was employed for a number of years by the Altoona Iron company. His wife, Mrs. Mary (Koenig) Wolf, was killed in an accident a little over five years ago, being crushed under a truck while standing at Fifth avenue and Twenty ninth street awaiting a street car. Surviving are five sons and five daughters, Henry Wolf of Rochester, N. Y., Mrs. Mary McCusker, John, Fred, Carl, Caroline, Margaret, Herman and Martha Wolf and Mrs. Anna Becker, all of the city; nineteen grandchildren, three brothers, and four sisters, Peter, Adolph and John Wolf, Mrs. Mary Porta, Mrs. Catherine Porta, and Mrs. Elizabeth Hoelzle of the city, and Mrs. Margaret Campbell of East Liberty. Mr. Wolf was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's church. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
