A telegram was received in this city on Friday announcing the death of Mr. Moses Wolf, which sad event occurred on that morning in New York. Mr. Wolf had been sick about two weeks and heart disease was the cause of his death. The deceased was a former resident of this city and was a brother of Mr. Godfrey Wolf, who resides on Twelfth avenue. He was at one time engaged in the boot and shoe business on Eleventh avenue near Twelfth street, but disposed of his business and afterward engaged as book-keeper for Blumenthal Bros, the tobacconists. Last November he disposed of his household goods and, with his family, moved to New York city, where he was engaged in business. He was a quiet, unassuming man, well thought of by all who knew him. He leaves a wife, three daughters and one son to mourn the death of a kind and affectionate husband. He was about 54 years of age and was a member of Vandalia lodge No. 227, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Altoona. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, April 19, 1888, page 5
