Death Claims Aged Resident Of Lakemont

  Adolph Wolfe, aged 89, of 645 Third avenue, Lakemont, a retired 
employe of the old Altoona Iron company, died at 9.30 o'clock last 
night In Mercy hospital where he was admitted Nov. 16, after an 
extended illness. 
  He was born in Prussia, Germany, Oct. 6, 1860, a son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Peter Wolfe, but had resided in this country for many years. His wife, 
Mrs. Theresa (Brandel) Wolfe, died March 31, 1940.
  Surviving are the following children: Miss Mary Ann, at home, Albert 
A. and Mrs. Margaret Byrne of the city, Mrs. Benjamin Witt of 
Providence, R.I., Herbert J. of Port Isabelle, Tex., Joseph H. and Mrs. 
Fred M. Fowler of Lakemont; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren 
and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Porta, Mrs. Catherine Porta and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Helsel, all of the city, and Mrs. Margaret Campbell of 
Pittsburgh.
  Mr. Wolfe was a member of St. John's Catholic church, Lakemont. 
Friends will be received at the N. A. Stevens mortuary after 7 o'clock 
this evening.

WOLFE - The funeral of Adolph Wolfe of 545 Third avenue, Lakemont, will 
be held Thursday morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock in St. John's 
church, Lakemont.  Interment in Greenlawn cemetery, Hollidaysburg.  
Friends will be received at the N. A. Stevens mortuary after 7 o'clock 
this evening.
