James Wolford died at the Altoona hospital last evening at 8 o'clock, following a brief illness from pneumonia, superinduced by influenza. He was born in Johnstown, and was aged 27 years. He is survived by his wife and one son, James, and by the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Adalaid Murry, of this city, Edgar, in France, Bertram, Arthur, Margaret and Marie, all of this city. He is also survived by his father and mother James W. and Mary D. Wolford. He was employed by the Pennsy in the Paint shop, and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Catholic church and the Pennsylvania Railroad company relief. The body was prepared for burial by Funeral Director N. A. Stevens and will be removed to the home of his father-in-law, Michael Baughman, 1325 Seventh avenue. The funeral announcement will be made later. Altoona Times, Wednesday Morning, October 9, 1918
