Mrs. Irene Wood, wife of Thomas Wood, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of this city, died Thursday morning at 1.55 o'clock, according to a message received yesterday by her brother-in-law, J. G. Woods [sic], of 2207 Seventh avenue. She had been in failing health for several years and was bedfast since Christmas. Her husband and several brothers and sisters survive. The body will be brought here next week for funeral services and interment. Mrs. Wood and her husband resided here until twelve years ago. She was aged about 44 years. Altoona Tribune, Saturday Morning, March 15, 1919 MRS. IRENE S. WOOD. Mrs. Irene S. Wood, a former resident of this city, who died in Sacramento, Cal., on March 13, of chronic rheumatism, will be buried in this city this afternoon with services at 2:30 o'clock at the N. A. Stevens chapel, in charge of Rev. A. J. Rudisill, pastor of the Bethany Lutheran church. Private interment in Fairview cemetery will follow. She was born on July 23, 18??, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Kipple. The family resided in this vicinity until 1876, when they removed to a farm at Hayes City, Kas. Three sisters and two brothers survive: Mrs. Mary Dowens, of Johnstown; Mrs. Ella Keagy and Mrs. H. M. Russell, of this city; John A., of this city, and Owen S., of Springfield, Mo.
