Local Brevities.

  Mrs. Mary Ann Wood, wife of Joseph Wood, living at Cross Roads, near 
the Kettle, died at 12 o'clock Thursday night of spinal meningitis.  
She was 44 years of age.  The funeral will take place at half-past 2 
o'clock to-morrow afternoon, to proceed to the Memorial Baptist church, 
corner of Fifth avenue and Sixth street, of which she was a consistent 
member, where services will be held.  Interment in Oak Ridge cemetery.
