Woodring, formerly of Grazierville and for the past 15 years a resident of Hollidaysburg, died Tuesday at 8:45 p.m. at Mercy Hospital, Altoona. He was born June 19, 1883, at Jersey Shore, a son of John and Etta Reeder Woodring. He was married to Sarah R. Goss, who is deceased. Surviving are a son, Robert, of Hoover's Lane, Tyrone; two foster children, Mrs. Tillie Ritchey, Tyrone, and Mrs. Adeline Woodring, of Buffalo, N.Y., and a grandson. Also surviving is a brother, Robert, of Bellwood. Two brothers preceded him in death. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Citizens Fire Co. of Tyrone and was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Co. as a gang foreman, retiring in 1942, after 46 years and seven months of service. Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Tyrone, in charge of the Rev. D. N. Thomas. Burial will be in Grazierville Cemetery.
